Daniel Au, DDS
Dr. Daniel Au graduated from University of Michigan in 1988 where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Biology. In 1992, he received his Doctorate Degree from the University of Michigan Dental School.
Dr. Au has been in private practice in the Chicago land area since 1992. He is a member of the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry. Dr. Au and his team share in a long term commitment to their patients and to the practice of dentistry. This commitment to care and education allows Dr. Au to provide his patients with the most up-to-date dental techniques. There is nothing more gratifying to Dr. Au than to assist in the transformation of his patient’s dental health and appearance of their smile.
Dr. Au continues to learn and perfect his skills from prominent and well-respected dental institutions by engaging in continuing education courses, particularly in the area of cosmetic and implant dentistry. As we know dentistry is a constantly evolving field with new materials, techniques and equipment.
Dr. Au loves the city of Chicago, choosing to call it home. When Dr. Au is not practicing dentistry, he is practicing his serve on the tennis courts and enjoying all that this beautiful city has to offer. We welcome you , your family and friends to join our dental family.
Atosa Sarrafi, DMD
Dr. Sarrafi believes that listening and communication are the most important ways to develop trust, confidence and a respectful relationship with her patients. Her admirable technical abilities compliment her willingness to listen and present a treatment plan to fit each patient’s individual needs. Her gentle manner places even her most nervous patients at ease.
Dr. Sarrafi stated, “I understand that for most people dental treatment can be stressful and unpleasant. Our office is designed to provide a relaxing, comfortable environment where patients can receive the best dental treatments available. My goal is to make each visit a positive experience. Communication between patient and dentist is critical to a successful relationship.”
Dr. Sarrafi was born and raised in Northbrook, Illinois. She graduated from Loyola University of Chicago in 1998 with a Bachelors of Science in Psychology. After graduating from Loyola, Dr. Sarrafi attended Tufts University School of Dentistry in Boston, Massachusetts. She received her Doctorate of Dental Medicine in 2004. She went on to further her education by completing a one year General Practice Residency at Montefiore Medical Center in New York. She has practiced in the greater Chicago area for many years and in the spring of 2010 she opened her own practice in Skokie, Illinois.
Dr. Sarrafi places great importance on providing the highest standard of care to her patients. She has completed many hours of continuing education enabling her to offer the latest and most advanced treatment options available. As an active participant in the dental community, Dr. Sarrafi is a member of many professional organizations including the Chicago Dental Society, the American Dental Association and the Illinois State Dental Society. She has been awarded the AAWD (American Association of Women in Dentistry) Certificate of Recognition.
Outside of work, Dr. Sarrafi enjoys spending time with her friends and family. She believes in setting a good example to her patients by actively pursuing a healthy lifestyle which includes exercise and eating healthy. Her out-of-the office passions include cooking, skiing and traveling. Dr. Sarrafi is committed to providing family and cosmetic dentistry to all age groups. Phimon Atsawasuwan, DDS, MSc, MSc, MS, PhD Orthodontist
Dr. Phimon Atsawasuwan is an experienced and highly accomplished orthodontist. As he practices orthodontics, he also works as an Assistant Professor at the University of Illinois at Chicago. He is a diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics.
He was awarded Thomas M Graber Award of Special Merit, which is a prestigious award from the American Association of Orthodontists right after his graduation and several Biomedical Research Awards from the American Association of Orthodontist Foundation.
He received his DDS, a certificate in Periodontics and MSc in Periodontics from Mahidol University, Thailand. He then continued his education and received his M.Sc in Periodontology from the Eastman Dental Institute, University College London, United Kingdom. Dr. Atsawasuwan then went to the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and completed his PhD in Oral Biology and his postdoctoral fellowship in Biochemistry. Afterward Dr. Atsawasuwan completed his MS and his certificate in Orthodontics at the University of Illinois at Chicago where he joins the department of Orthodontics as a full-time faculty.
Dr. Atsawasuwan enjoys teaching and research and always keeps himself up-to-date with cutting edge technology in the field of Orthodontics. He is also a notable author and publishes an extensive list of case reports and research articles in several peer-reviewed journals including AJODO. He also serves as a reviewer for several scientific and orthodontic journals. He has been invited to give lectures and presentations in many conferences both in the United States and International conferences.
Dr. Atsawasuwan‘s goal for his orthodontic treatment is to improve patients’ dental and jaw relationship as well as their smile and appearance. The most rewarding part is to see his patients’ big smiles full of confidence and happiness at the end of treatment.
